Stay Fit Outside The Gym (Part 1)

 

 

For you who are busy all the time, with your family, with your career or with your study, spending 1-2 hours of your precious time everyday at the gym seems very hard! But if you don't do any activities, you won't stay fit and healthy.

 

The question is, can we stay fit outside the gym ?

 

Physical activities don't always mean you have to go to the gym. Your daily routine activities like grocery shopping or gardening can increase your fitness level and burn calories at the same time.

 

Does it mean we no longer need gym?

 

Doing exercise at the gym and doing daily activities are still different. By doing daily activities you cannot control the intensity and level of your exercise, while exercise at the gym is promising a monitored and structured intensity of each exercise.

 

So, the good thing is you can still do your daily routine activities without feeling guilty, as the activities still make you fit. However it is better if you spend also once or twice a week to have exercises at the gym.

 

 

 

7 Calories-Burner Outdoor Activities

 

If you are an ‘outdoor’ person, who likes to go out from home and do fun things outdoor, try these activities out !

 

30 Minutes Biking

 

Go out to have a good view, fresh morning air and burn up to 300 calories by biking around your home for at least 30 minutes. Make sure to bring along your helmet, knee-support and mask to cover your lungs from air pollution.

 

1 hour Fast Walking & Running

 

Don't like biking? What about the easiest sport to do? Fast walking and running. Start with light running for one minutes, then fast walking for 3 minutes, then running, and so on. Time to time increase your running time and reduce your fast walking time. Fun and healthy activity to do, and burn up to 254 calories!

 


30 Minutes Gardening

 

If you like gardening, this activity is an effective kind of sport to train all your body part. Do it for around 30 minutes, burn up to 330 calories, and create a beautiful view around your house!

 

30 Minutes Walk Your Dog

 

Bring your dog to walk in the park or around your neighborhood for about 30 minutes. Your dog will get healthy and fit, and you can burn up to 150 calories. Just make sure the dog rope is not too long or too short.

 

30 Minutes Shopping at Supermarket

 

If there is a supermarket or grocery store near your house, walk there to shop every week. 30 minutes of shopping and 30 minutes walk home with your shopping bags in your both hands, will burn up to 50 calories! So, you can get all your daily needs, and make your body fit at the same time. Just make sure to hold the bags with equal weight between right and left hand. Otherwise the overweight bag can cause you back pain.

 

75 Minutes Window Shopping At The Mall

 

If you a mall-shopping lover, it's time to get an added value from your hobby! For every 75 minutes you spend with walking around the mall, you'll burn up to 146 calories. But remember, it doesn't count when you sit at a café!

 

30 Minutes Ice-Skating

 

The perfect activity for you who seek a fun, healthy sport you can have together with your friends. And don't forget that you can burn up to 193 calories after one session of 30 minutes.

 

If you prefer to stay at home, and keep yourself busy with indoor activities, don’t worry ! You can have fun too while burning your calories by doing indoor activities. Go to Part 2
